Well, without further ado, I'd like to announce that I'm now offering video services!! This comes after so many of my couples have asked me time and time again, "Do you offer video, too?".  I just felt like it was the right time to jump into this new journey!  Right now I'm only offering video to my couples that have signed a photography contract with us for 2017/2018. I am looking to open up video options to the public towards to end of 2017.

Myself and my staff photographer Casey Serr (who's specialty is video) have been working together with several of our couples this past year to perfect this process. (We had several couples sign up to be our guinea pigs! LOL) We are still tweaking a few things here and there but are so excited for this journey to officially begin.  Casey will be heading up the video department and will also be our Lead Staff Cinematographer!  We've already got several wedding video shoots under our belt and today we're debuting our very first Cinematic Music Video!!

Keep in mind that I'm intending our video style to be very much the same as our photography: naturally lit, fun, emotional, light-hearted, rough around the edges and REAL!!

I'm not here to convince you one way or the other if video is for you. I'm just here to offer it to you with the ATP style and professionalism that I demand with my photography. I'm a HUGE sucker for a cinematic music video of your entire day. (Can't lie - I cry when I watch them!) and I can't deny that having the option to have the video and the audio from your ceremony and reception is pretty awesome.

Please enjoy Erin & Ryan's ATP Cinematic Music Video featuring their big day at The Cathedral Basilica and The Caramel Room at Bissinger's.

Liza & Casey were married on a Sunday afternoon last October on one of the most gorgeous days of the year.  Their ceremony and reception were at The Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel in Washington, MO.  These guys live in Washington, so their choice was easy on where to get married.  This venue is stunning!  The chapel is full of natural light and the vineyards were perfectly picturesque.  They even have cottages on the grounds!

My favorite part of their wedding day was that they wanted pictures at their house with their dog after the reception was over.  I LOVE being able to really take custom images that truly capture the essence of the people I'm photographing.  Having Liza and Casey in their front yard with their pup was amazing... but what topped that was the view from their front porch!  I posted the photo of them there on their porch as their Sneak Peek and I've never received more comments and compliments!  The view is simply breathtaking.  (Can you image walking out to that view every day?!  WOW!)

Congrats to Liza & Casey on celebrating their First Anniversary a few weeks ago and THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing Abbie Takes Pictures!!  Please see below for a complete list of all the hard working, talented vendors that contributed to their big day!

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is when I get to work with the same family multiple times.  I first met Stacey & Tim when I photographed Stacy's brother's wedding a few years ago.  (Charlie & Dana were married on May 4th and had a "May the Fourth Be With You/Star Wars" themed wedding!)  Being able to work with the Akers again and welcome The Buskes to the ATP Family was one of the highlights of last year for me.

Their wedding was classic, elegant, and timeless.  From the tailored navy blue suits with vests to the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses, every detail was perfectly matched.  They had so many personal touches on their big day!  From the special gifts that the bride & groom gave their bridal party, to the request of having a shot of all the women in the families with their wedding rings... I just loved all of it!!  (And can we please give Stacey a high-five for having the most adorable pair of Kate Spade Keds tennis shoes on hand for the reception?! LOVE KATE SPADE!)

As usual, the team at The Caramel Room knocked everyone's socks off!!  We absolutely love working with these guys because I always know that my clients are in good hands and that the reception will go off without a hitch.  I never have a worry when working there!  The couple partied the night away while the guests enjoyed the Fish Eye Fun photobooth all night long.

Happy First Anniversary , Stacey & Tim!! (A few weeks early!)  THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing Abbie Takes Pictures!  Please see below for a complete list of all the hard working, talented vendors that contributed to this fantastic day!

Teilla & Taquan ("TQ") have the sweetest spirits.  From the moment we first chatted, I was in love with them.  They are gentle, loving, kind... all the qualities you would want in a couple you have to photograph!  These are also qualities that make them perfect for each other.  They balance each other out in the best ways!

I was lucky enough to spend a few days with them where they live in Austin, Texas earlier last year.  They had recently relocated there when TQ got a job offer he couldn't refuse. They had me come down there to photograph their engagement session.  (You can see it HERE.)  I really got to know them on that trip, and it was such a pleasure to hang out together and have them show me around their new city.  I not only fell in love with Austin, Texas... I fell in love with them!!

Fast forward to their big day: it was an absolutely gorgeous!  Perfect weather, gorgeous venue, tons of friends and family... it was exactly what every bride dreams of!  Their ceremony and reception were on the rooftop at the Hyatt Regency at The Arch.  It's one of my favorite places in St. Louis.  The staff is incredible, and the views are stunning.

They had their ceremony and reception back-to-back, so I orchestrated a First Look for them so that we could do all of their photographs before the festivities.  This is one of my favorite elements to a wedding day!!  It's so intimate and private, plus it allows the couple to talk and visit by themselves for a little while.  It's really the only time they get to be alone the entire day!

With that being said, I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from their wedding in St. Louis.  You will find a list of their vendors at the end of this post.

Take the most kind-hearted, compassionate, hard-working nurse and pair her with the most social, energetic, kind man... and you've got yourself Erin & Ryan.  This couple joined the 2016 ATP Wedding Family early last summer and I'd been looking forward to their engagement session for quite some time.  When we first met, I knew I wanted to travel to Columbia, MO (and to the Mizzou Campus!) to take their photos for this session.   Columbia is where they met and fell in love.  Through college their relationship blossomed into the love of a lifetime.  They even told me about "this huge tree in the middle of a field"v and I knew exactly what they were talking about and had been dying to shoot there for a very long time!!

In late October, we traveled halfway across the state.  I was so pleased with the overcast weather (a photographer's dream!) and even had Daniel Berry ( there to assist during the shoot.

Do you ever smile so much that your face hurts?? Ryan sure does and had us cracking up with his "face massages"... :)

We also learned that if Erin wants Ryan to "dip" her in the middle of the street that we should probably prep both of them with a countdown.  We almost had a major trauma occur... but thank goodness for Ryan's quick moves!!  He immediately yelled to Dan and I, "Dude!  Did you guys see that!  That wasn't a dip - that was a TRUST FALL!" LOL!!  We all couldn't stop giggling once we realized that she was safe. :)

As you can see... they did nail the shot the second time!

Also - a HUGE THANKS to the always chipper and hilarious Daniel Berry.  You were an awesome assistant!

We can't wait for their big day in August 2016 at The Caramel Room at Bissinger's, one of our favorite venues in St. Louis, MO!
