Kayla Jo was my very first BirthStory Baby, so she holds a special little place in my heart. Many of you have commented on her photo that hangs in my office, "Oh my goodness! That baby is so tiny!". When she was born, at full term, she was barely five pounds!! I remember holding her the day she was born and thinking to myself, "This baby weighs no more than a meatloaf!". She was so teeny tiny, and was all folded up with all this loose, wrinkley skin... and she looked just like a little naked baby chicken. So that was the day she got her nickname: She's my Little Chicken Baby. :)
Believe it or not, Kayla Jo is now 2 years old!! She is so funny and full of adorable sassiness! She's smart, loving, and shy -- which is completely adorable to me. Her daddio lives in California, and her mom lives here in Saint Louis, but dad comes often for visits. It was a total pleasure to be able to photograph some of her special time with her dad. We got in some great time at the park that day, and she was even able to model her adorable swimsuit for me!
